The Brandenburg March became an electorate in 1320 and Potsdam the residence of the Elector. This status hasn’t changed at all in the course of the centuries...

With its wonderful gardens, castles and lakes, Potsdam’s cultivated landscape has always been a centre of attraction for lovers of architecture and art. For over 500 years, the house of Hohenzollern has basically defined and designed Potsdam and the whole surrounding area in a most fantastic way. For instance, the parks at Sanssouci are unique: an ensemble of castles and gardens, rightly considered superb by all visitors.

The Apartment Hotel Kaiser Friedrich is situated within the meadow scenery created by the landscape architect Lenné in the immediate vicinity of Park Sanssouci. In the generous installation there is a garden with a pond, a pavilion and a BBQ area.
The restored gentleman's house as well as the rebuilt coachman's house also accommodate comfortable holiday apartments. In 2005, the old warehouse was redeveloped with loving care – here, like in the good old times, are the stables for our horses. Coach rides and guided rides can be booked directly with us.

Take a walk from the gardens, past the horse pastures, directly to the historical Lindenallee - the green path towards Sanssouci. Shortly you will reach the new palace (Neues Palais), a princely guest castle, the biggest, most magnificent and at the same time the latest castle architecture of the Emperor era and also former residence of Kaiser Friedrich III.
